Apply Matriculation Programme through schools or Internet

PETALING JAYA: Students can now apply for the 2010/2011 matriculation programme through their schools or via the Internet. The closing date is Oct 10.

According to a statement issued by the Education Ministry’s matriculation division, those wanting to apply must get an individual identification number from Bank Simpanan Nasional.

The fee is RM6 for applications done via the Internet and RM10 for students who apply through their school.

The matriculation programme offers three majors in the science, accountancy and technical fields.

Those who successfully complete the programme can apply to pursue their tertiary education in public and private universities (except the International Islamic University Malaysia) and foreign institutions.

Students can also apply for places in Kolej Matrikulasi Selangor, which will begin operations in the coming session.
