COLLECTORS' ITEM: Printed in silver ink, they pay tribute to bank's journey

KUALA LUMPUR: POS Malaysia will issue a first of its kind stamp collection to commemorate RHB Bank's centennial celebration.

The collection, featuring stamps printed in silver ink, pays tribute to RHB's journey, from its origin arising from the merger of the country's oldest bank, Kwong Yik Bank, formed in 1913, with DCB Bank Bhd in 1997.

The collection will feature four designs, namely the Old Market Square, Kwong Yik Bank headquarters launch, the "BOSS" automated teller machine and RHB headquarters' building.

Also available are first-day covers and folders on the same theme.

They will be available from next Monday at selected post offices nationwide.

Pos Malaysia will also sell stamps for the Haiyan Disaster Relief Fund, where 60 per cent of the proceeds will be channelled to help victims of the typhoon in the Philippines.
