Xing Xing & Liang Liang: First public viewing for Xing Xing, Liang Liang at Zoo Negara

KUALA LUMPUR: Xing Xing and Liang Liang, the two giant pandas from China received a stream of guests at their conservatory in Zoo Negara today.

Among them were kindergarten children who were eager to see the pandas up close.

From one month from tomorrow, children under 12, the handicapped, senior citizens and orphans from orphanages can view the pandas for free.

The two pandas, originally known as Fu Wa and Feng Yi, got their local names from Prime Minister Datuk Seri Najib Razak earlier this week.

The pandas are on loan in Malaysia for 10 years to mark the 40th anniversary of diplomatic ties between Malaysia and China.
